In the evening
My place is immaculately lit –
Hearts are warmed as Fireplace exhales
And draws her breath over fluttering candle flames
I stand ingrained in cherry oak finish
When smoke inundates the senses
Apprehension minus tension
When the wine is inches from my lips
See, wine and candlelight may be cliché
But the result leaves little to be desired when you retire
And if fine art leaves none impressed,
At best I feel caressed prior to the arrival of guests
So no stress tonight –
If love as they say is a flame then let's ignite
At my place
Your silhouette
Lay traced among cases pillows get
Milli

Gray matter rendered to grayscale
Pyraplastic blasts of knowledge now lay still
Dormant –
Freeze-frame as I grip my spinal cordless
On some "Damn I wanna write some more, but I'm bored" shit,
A stalemate, caused by a mate gone stale,
A would-be hurricane reduced to a small gale,
A full, pale, pail lacking a shovel
Filled to the brim with mud crafted only to muddle
Third-eye Q cataracts
Birds-eye-view passive raps
Learned – My understanding of apathy:
The overflow of emotions pushed passed practical capacity
Blasphemy,
Ramshackle factories of derelict vivacity
Slapped with a plastic wrapping lacking
